I’m Alissa Keepers, owner of Compassionate Beginnings, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of something so meaningful.

My connection to fertility is both professional and personal. For more than 15 years, I worked in healthcare operations, partnering with clinics to improve patient care and outcomes. But when I went through my own fertility journey to build my family, I experienced just how emotional, complicated, and overwhelming the process can be. I also learned how much it means to have someone you trust in your corner.

Helping others has always been a big part of who I am. Whether through my work in healthcare, volunteering, coaching sports, or simply supporting the people around me, I have always found the greatest fulfillment in helping others.

When I found Compassionate Beginnings, I saw an opportunity to bring those passions together. I knew this was something special—a chance to use my healthcare experience and my own personal understanding of the fertility journey to help others navigate theirs.

Our Story

Compassionate Beginnings was founded in 2007 by Celia McNeil, who began her career working with fertility clinics and saw a need for a trusted, personal resource for families pursuing egg donation. Together with Holly Ringer, a registered nurse and former infertility patient, she built an agency centered around compassionate, individualized support.

Today, I am honored to carry that mission forward as the owner of Compassionate Beginnings.

While our agency continues to grow, one thing will never change: we want to remain small enough to know you, listen to you, and truly care about your journey.

Why Compassionate Beginnings?

We believe fertility care should feel personal.

You shouldn’t feel like a number, and you shouldn’t have to navigate this journey alone. We take the time to get to know the people and families we work with and provide the guidance, encouragement, and personal attention they deserve.  Our goal has always been to provide caring and compassionate service to our clients: Intended Parents, Surrogates, and Egg Donors.
